Family Resilience Specialist
I create practical tools that help parents (and the therapists, coaches, and community leaders who support them) make sense of what's happening in families. My work is designed to build hope through growth and to help families use their strengths and moments of joy as a guide toward deeper connection and fulfillment. Grounded in neuroscience and psychology, everything I create is designed to be accessible, usable, and relevant in the day-to-day challenges families face.
I've learned that whether weβre raising a neurodiverse child, navigating emotional struggles, or simply want our family to function more as a team, there are no quick fixes or hidden secrets. What does make a difference are mindsets and specific, learnable skills. As we learn and practice and apply the skills that bring resilience things get better and better.
My training to become a Marriage and Family Therapist gave me the ability to read the research, understand the science, and find evidence-based solutions. But it was my own family that taught me how to actually use them.
I'm the parent of a neurodiverse child who struggled so deeply, with bullying, with emotional overwhelm, and with a school system that couldn't adapt to their needs or keep them safe. Things got so bad that we had to pull them out of public school entirely. "Typical" parenting advice from "typical" experts just made everything worse. I had to dig deeper, find the researchers and clinicians who understood different brains and different needs, and build something that actually worked for us. I watched my child gain skills, return to school, and succeed.
I was fascinated to find that the same changes we made to our parenting also helped our Queer child, and our family as we all studied LGBTQ+ issues and adjusted to support them. They are thriving. Similar mindsets and skills brought my husband and I through a faith transition, sticking together and adapting as we left a high-demand religion and created a new life.
Now I take everything I've learned, from neuroscientists, psychologists, spiritual teachers, and my own family and create tools that help all kinds of families build resilience. I'm more of a curator than a traditional expert. I gather the best ideas, show how they connect, and make them easy to use in everyday life. In the end, resilience isn't about being amazing or strong, it's about how you show up and what you learn. They're just skills.
Clear and practical β here's what grounds everything I create.
A degree in Marriage and Family Therapy means I can read the research, understand the science, and translate complex ideas into something you can actually use.
I've navigated neurodiversity, emotional struggles, bullying, and self-harm with my own children. These tools were tested in my own home first.
I teach parenting classes locally, volunteer with family-supporting nonprofits, and build online communities where people can explore ideas together.
My mission: Present complex ideas from neuroscientists and psychologists in ways that actual parents can easily understand and apply, even if their family is a bit different or their kids struggle.
βAnne you are such a gem! I have really enjoyed the class, support and of course the information has been life changing!β

If you have a question or are trying to figure out the next step, you're welcome to reach out. I'm not able to provide individualized guidance over email, but I'll do my best to point you in the right direction.
If you're looking for help applying these ideas to your specific situation, a 30-minute Helpful Chat is usually the best place to start. I can help you see how a specific tool might fit into your life, identify your strengths, and figure out where to begin.
Note: I'm NOT providing therapy or coaching services, this is just a way to help you use the tools I've created. I am, after all, VERY familiar with them and if you want to skip some of the exploring and get right to the doing I'm happy to be a sounding board and give suggestions.
I also love to collaborate. I've shared these ideas at workshops and retreats and I'm happy to help people understand these concepts. If you have a speaking request or collaboration idea, please reach out!
